Let’s get into it.
📦 Unboxing the Artisan Revel
The Revel arrives in Artisan’s standard packaging: a sleek black box featuring the Artisan Cutlery logo in bold white font across the top. The design is minimal but professional, giving off a premium vibe right from the start.
Inside the box, you’ll find:
-
The Revel itself, securely wrapped.
-
A branded microfiber cleaning cloth – a nice touch for keeping your blade and handle smudge-free.
-
A couple of Artisan stickers, perfect for your gear case or water bottle.
-
The usual documentation and warranty info.
The overall presentation is clean and thoughtful – nothing flashy, just solid and to the point.
🔹 First Impressions – The Handle
The model we’re reviewing today features a Blue FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) handle. It’s lightweight, durable, and has a comfortable texture that offers solid grip without being too aggressive.
Size-wise, the handle measures 4.53 inches, fitting nicely in hand whether you're using it for detailed cuts or heavier work. It feels ergonomic, and there's no awkward hot spots or sharp edges.
There’s no lanyard hole on this model, which some may find a miss, but the clean design more than makes up for it.
As for carry options:
-
✅ Pocket clip included
-
🔄 Reversible for left or right-hand carry
Great to see Artisan catering to both left- and right-handed users here.

🔒 Locking & Deployment
The Revel uses a button lock, which is smooth, snappy, and satisfying to operate. Whether you're opening with your thumb or fidgeting throughout the day (we’ve all been there), the action is solid and consistent.
The thumb studs offer quick deployment and are easy to access. Combine that with the smooth button lock and you’ve got a knife that’s intuitive and fun to use.
🗡️ The Blade
This is where things get really exciting.
The blade is made from CPM-S90V, a high-end steel known for its superior edge retention and corrosion resistance. You don’t see this steel often in knives at this price point, making the Revel an impressive value.
Specs:
-
Blade Length: 3.54”
-
Blade Style: Clip Point – perfect for piercing and precision cuts.
-
Grind: Flat – great for slicing tasks.
-
Finish: Stonewashed – hides scratches and wear beautifully.
-
Jimping: Yes – subtle but functional, adds grip for your thumb during detailed work.
The overall length of the knife comes in at 8.07 inches, making it a solid mid-sized EDC that balances pocketability with performance.
🎨 Variants & Availability
The Artisan Revel is available in six different variants, with a mix of handle materials and finishes to suit your style. Whether you're into bold colors, minimal tones, or premium scales – there’s something in the lineup for you.
✅ All six variants are available now on our website as of this video/post release, so grab your favorite while supplies last!
🧠 Final Thoughts
The Artisan Revel delivers a lot of knife for the money. With premium CPM-S90V steel, a reliable button lock, a lightweight FRN handle, and a thoughtful ergonomic design, it's clear that Artisan aimed to create a high-performance EDC at a competitive price—and they’ve nailed it.
If you're looking for a budget-friendly knife with top-tier steel and excellent build quality, the Revel is absolutely worth checking out.
