Meet the Full Extrema Ratio BFK Series
Three fixed blades. Two folders. Five distinct characters.
The complete Extrema Ratio BFK Series is coming soon to Atlantic Knife, bringing the company’s unmistakable Italian engineering into a collection designed around everyday use. Each model approaches carry differently, but every one is built with the precision, material choices and lasting reliability expected from Extrema Ratio.
PIXEL: The Full-Size Reference
PIXEL establishes the standard for the fixed-blade side of the series. Its generous working size, precisely machined handle and diagonal scale milling create a secure grip without making the knife feel excessive. It carries the experience of a company known for building exceptionally dependable knives—reworked for the moments and tasks encountered every day.
MICRO: The Balance Point
MICRO finds the sweet spot between presence and portability. It offers the confidence and simplicity of a fixed blade in a format that remains comfortable to carry. It is compact without feeling compromised and substantial without becoming cumbersome.
NANO: Pure Discretion
NANO reduces the fixed-blade concept to its most discreet form. It delivers the construction quality of its larger siblings with minimal bulk, making it the model for anyone who wants a capable fixed blade that nearly disappears into the day.
BFK: The Full-Size Folder
The primary folding model of the series pairs an N690 blade with Extrema Ratio’s Crossbar Lock. The mechanism provides fast, fluid, ambidextrous operation while keeping the user’s fingers away from the blade’s path during closing. It is the model whose opening gesture quickly becomes familiar—the kind of knife you reach for without having to think about it.
BFK ZERO: Compact and Instinctive
BFK ZERO carries the same folding-knife character in a smaller format. Its N690 blade, reversible clip and ambidextrous Crossbar Lock create a compact knife that settles naturally into the pocket. It is quick, discreet and ready without demanding attention.
Three Steels, Each Chosen for a Role
The fixed blades will be offered in configurations featuring either MagnaCut or Extrema Ratio’s Nitrogen steel specification.
MagnaCut equips the Black and Tactical Mud fixed-blade versions, combining excellent toughness, edge performance and corrosion resistance. Green, Avio and Tobacco fixed-blade configurations use Extrema Ratio Nitrogen steel, selected for its fine edge structure, corrosion resistance and approachable sharpening characteristics.
Both folding models use N690 produced to Extrema Ratio’s specifications—a steel the company has worked with for decades and trusts for the consistency, resilience and predictability demanded by pivots, tight tolerances and locking mechanisms.
Five Models, Killer Options
Across the series, buyers can expect a seriously tempting range of materials, colors and finishes: Black and Tactical Mud machined aluminum, Green carbon fiber, Avio G10 and Tobacco Micarta.
Whether you want a compact fixed blade, a full-size everyday folder or something so discreet it almost disappears, there is an upcoming BFK configuration you are going to want in your collection.
