Linder makes their high quality knives in Germany. Started originally in 1870 by Carl Wilhelm Linder. When he passed away, his son Carl carried on the business, until he passed away at age 66 in 1936. Neither Carls daughter, nor wife wanted to continue with the company and sold it to Paul Rosenkaimer, a knifemaker. He and his son were both drafted into WWII, leaving his wife to run the business. The establishment was bombed and lost during WWII. By 1949, father and son were able to rebuild the establishment. In 1985 Paul Rosenkaimer passed away. The company is now run by his sons & grandson.
