Vosteed Porcupine Knife Review

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another Jimping with Jacrispy review. Today, we’re taking a look at a brand-new knife from Vosteed — the Porcupine. Before we jump in, make sure to share this review with your friends and family, and check out our YouTube page so you don’t miss any future content. With that out of the way, let’s get straight into the review.

Packaging & Unboxing

The Vosteed Porcupine comes in Vosteed’s signature packaging. The box features a clean, modern design with bold fonts and the Vosteed logo prominently displayed. The color scheme is simple but sharp, giving it that premium feel right out of the gate. On the front, you’ll find the brand name and model, while the back includes basic product and brand information.

Inside the box, Vosteed includes a few nice extras. Along with the knife itself, you’ll find a cleaning cloth and branded stickers — a small touch, but always appreciated, especially if you’re a collector.

The Knife

Once you get to the knife, the Porcupine immediately stands out, especially in the red and white G10 “Christmas treed” handle variant. This model is one of 13 different variants currently available, giving buyers plenty of options in terms of handle materials and colorways.

The G10 handle offers a solid grip and feels comfortable in hand. The size is well-balanced — not too big, not too small — making it suitable for everyday carry. There’s also a lanyard hole for those who like to add a lanyard.

Carry & Lockup

The Porcupine features a reversible pocket clip, making it friendly for both left- and right-handed users. The clip provides secure retention while still allowing for easy pocket access.

For the lock, Vosteed went with a liner lock, which engages solidly and feels dependable during use.

Blade Details

The blade is made from 14C28N steel, a well-known choice for its excellent balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening. The blade is a drop point style with a satin finish and a flat grind, making it versatile for everyday cutting tasks.

The knife is equipped with thumb studs for smooth, reliable deployment, and there’s jimping on the spine to provide added control during more detailed work.
