Hey everyone, and welcome back to another Jimping with Jacrispy blog review! Today, we’re taking a look at one of the newest releases from Reate Knives – the 9D-V2. Whether you're a long-time fan of Reate or new to the brand, this one is definitely worth checking out.
But before we dive into the nitty-gritty, don’t forget to like this post, share it with your fellow EDC enthusiasts, and if you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you never miss a drop or a review!
Unboxing the Reate 9D-V2
First impressions matter, and the Reate 9D-V2 delivers a premium experience right from the unboxing.
The box itself is sleek and modern. It comes in a matte black finish, featuring the Reate logo in bold silver font on the front. The design is minimal, clean, and gives off a serious high-quality vibe. On the back, you’ll find a few specs and branding details, nothing too flashy – just enough to give you a taste of what’s inside.
Inside the box, Reate includes a microfiber cleaning cloth, a couple of branded stickers, and of course, the star of the show – the 9D-V2 itself, safely nested in foam. The presentation gives you that “collector’s edition” feeling, which we knife lovers always appreciate.
First Look: Design and Variants
The Reate 9D-V2 is available in four distinct variants, giving you options to match your personal style or collection goals. The version we're looking at today features a black titanium handle that not only looks sharp but feels extremely durable and solid in hand.
Unfortunately, there’s no lanyard hole, but that’s a minor tradeoff when you consider the sleekness of the overall design.
Handle & Ergonomics
The handle measures 4.6 inches and is crafted from black titanium – lightweight, tough, and with a premium feel. The grip is smooth but ergonomic, fitting naturally in the hand with a solid and balanced feel.
