KANSEPT Apollo Knife Review – Sleek, Strong, and Sophisticated

Welcome back, blade enthusiasts! Today on Jimping with Jacrispy, we’re diving into the details of a brand-new release from Kansept Knives — the Apollo. This knife has some serious visual appeal and functionality packed into a well-balanced EDC package, and we’re here to break it all down for you.

First Impressions: Packaging & Presentation

As always, first impressions matter, and the Kansept Apollo doesn’t disappoint. The box is clean and modern — matte black with silver foil Kansept branding that gives it a premium, professional feel. The logo is tastefully displayed on the front, while the back includes basic product details and model information.

Inside the box, you’ll find a few extras that add a nice touch: a branded microfiber cleaning cloth, Kansept stickers, and of course, the Apollo itself, securely nested in protective foam. It’s always nice to see a brand go the extra mile with presentation, and Kansept delivers here.

Design & Build

The Apollo comes in five different variants, offering some customization for various style preferences. The version we’re reviewing features a titanium handle with Arctic Storm carbon fiber inlays — a striking combo that feels both futuristic and high-end in hand.

There’s no lanyard hole, but the sculpted design of the handle and inlays more than makes up for that omission. The handle length comes in at 4.27 inches, and with its ergonomic shaping, it fits naturally in the hand, making it great for both everyday carry and more demanding use.

Clip, Lock & Carry

The Apollo is equipped with a non-reversible pocket clip, which may be a downside for left-handed users, but it does ride deep and secure in the pocket. The clip’s minimal design complements the sleekness of the knife without adding bulk.

For the locking mechanism, Kansept went with a Crossbar Lock, which offers solid lockup and ambidextrous operation. It’s smooth, secure, and easy to manipulate — a very user-friendly choice.

Blade Details

The heart of the Apollo is its 3.11-inch drop point blade, crafted from premium S35VN steel, known for its excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. The blackwashed finish adds a rugged aesthetic and helps hide wear from regular use.

You’ll find thumb studs on both sides of the blade, allowing for quick and snappy deployment. The jimping on the spine is well-placed, offering a secure thumb ramp without being overly aggressive.

The blade features a flat grind, giving it a nice balance between slicing capability and durability. Whether you’re opening packages or tackling tougher tasks, the Apollo holds up.
