Hey AK'ers! A new knife from Finch Knife Co is dropping on Nov.10, 2023. After seeing the prototype of this knife at Blade Show 2023, we here at AK couldn't wait for the final product to arrive on our shelves. The Finch XL Runtly is here at last and is going to be available in 3 options: Tobacco, Dark Side, and Abyss.
An upgrade from one of Finches first knives ever, the Runtly, the Runtly XL is on a whole other level with its out of this world scale options, impressive size, high quality materials, and excellent EDC design.
This knife sports a gray titanium frame, bolster and tip-up pocket clip, along with at 3.15" M390 satin/stonewashed blade. Blade can be opened with either the nail nick or square jimped back flipper tab (a reoccurring feature for FINCH). Each folder is 7.5" when fully opened, but with it's chunky handle and wide blade, this knife feels and looks bigger. The tobacco gets its name from it's natural canvas micarta scales on both sides of the carry. The Dark Side option features black weave carbon fiber scales on both sides. Lastly, the Abyss option (our personal favorite) sports blue swirled carbon fiber scales on both sides. Due to the nature of this particular carbon fiber, each knife is unique in look and therefore, one of a kind. These folders offer great versatility and strength, as well as superior quality and design.
