Mantis Knives Class Act Linerlock (fresh out of the box)

Mantis Knives Class Act Linerlock

Recently, Atlantic Knife started a promotional offering for customers who spent $89 or more on their website. This customer, in addition to their purchases, would receive a FREE Mantis Class Act Linerlock.

Now, I know what you guys are thinking. Anything free is fine by me. Well, this isn’t always the case. I’ve bought things online before that, because of how much I spent, came with something “free”.  I’ve had some bad experiences (one time I had to pay for the “free” item’s shipping & handling costs because the seller had forgotten to include it in my package with the goods I originally purchased). Another time the item wasn’t an item, it was a picture of the item. However, these instances were outliers. Usually, the free item was of poor quality and broke within a few days of use.

I wanted to review this knife for all those who are considering buying this knife or have spent $89 or more on Atlantic Knife.com and are going receive it for free with their purchased items (at least until the promo is over).

I just want to dive right into the specs & aspects of this knife.

Blade

Mantis Knives Class Act Linerlock Blade

The blade of this knife is 4” long and made of 420 High Carbon Stainless-Steel, a strong corrosion resistant material. It also has a very clean-cut slipstream blade style, which cuts very nicely and cleanly with a bit of pressure. I tried it on some cardboard in the warehouse and it sliced right through it. A very good dependable blade in my opinion.

Handle

Mantis Knives Class Act Linerlock Handle

The handle of the Class Act is just that, classy. It has a very gentleman-like look because of how precisely the black polymer is cut to fit against the spectacularly shiny stainless-steel liners, showing a bit of flare along the top and bottom.

When I held the knife in my hand it fit very well, and it’s a slim knife so you could carry it in a pair of jeans or in a suit pocket. It fits every hand and every occasion.

Additional Features

Mantis Knives Class Act Linerlock Liners

Mantis Knives Class Act Linerlock Pocket Clip

Though I really like the look, feel, and fit of this knife, there is one feature that I think I love more than anything (my YouTube followers will already know), and that is the pocket clip. I’m obsessed with pocket clips on knives and this one might just make the pocket clip Hall of Fame.

It is a very simple design, but it was executed so perfectly and flawlessly that simplistic must equal perfection. It’s, in one word, breathtaking, especially against the dramatic contrast of the black handle.

Overall, this 7” knife is something anyone can carry for just about any reason. It’s small enough to travel anywhere, but big enough to get the job done. There isn’t really anything negative I would say about this knife. Quality doesn’t seem to be an issue and the blade remains sharp even after a few uses. With proper care, use, and upkeep, this linerlock could be an everyday carry for a pretty long time.
