CIVIVI SOKN Knife Review – A Compact Tactical Companion
Welcome back to another Jimping with Jacrispy blog review! Today, we’re taking a close look at one of the latest fixed-blade offerings from Civivi: the SOKN. This compact knife is designed for utility, comfort, and everyday carry practicality—and trust me, it’s got a lot going for it.
Unboxing Experience
Civivi has always paid attention to detail in presentation, and the SOKN is no exception. The box itself keeps with Civivi’s signature sleek, minimalist aesthetic—featuring a clean white background, modern font, and their iconic logo centered on the lid. On the back, you'll find standard product information and branding. Inside the box, Civivi includes some nice extras: a branded microfiber cleaning cloth, a couple of Civivi stickers, and, of course, the knife securely packed in a molded insert.
First Impressions & Variants
The SOKN is currently available in two variants. In this review, we’re taking a look at the gray G10 handle with satin-finished Nitro-V blade. Both variants are available on the website as of this post, so if you’re thinking about adding one to your collection, now’s a great time.
Sheath & Carry
The knife comes with a black Kydex sheath, and it’s clear Civivi didn't cut corners here. The fit is snug and precise, offering secure retention without excessive force to draw. It uses belt loop attachments, making it practical for EDC or tactical setups. The sheath also features lanyard holes, giving you additional carry and mounting options.
Ergonomics & Grip
The G10 handle scales offer a sturdy, textured grip, even in wet conditions. With a handle length of 4.35 inches, the SOKN fills the hand comfortably while still keeping a compact profile. There are four lanyard holes at the base, allowing for full customization or lanyard attachment depending on your setup.
Blade Details
Let’s talk steel: the 2.82-inch blade is made from Nitro-V, a stainless steel known for its excellent corrosion resistance and edge retention. The drop point style is ideal for both slicing and piercing tasks, and the flat grind adds to the knife’s overall cutting efficiency. The satin finish gives it a clean, polished look.
As for jimping—yes, it’s there. It’s subtle but functional, giving just enough traction for precision work without compromising comfort.
