Kubey Prism Knife Review: Sleek, Functional, and Affordable
Hey everyone, welcome back to another review! Today, we're checking out the brand-new Kubey Prism—a sleek, modern folding knife that brings style and functionality together in a compact, user-friendly design. In this review, we'll cover everything from unboxing to specs, and I'll give you my thoughts on this latest offering from Kubey. Let's dive in!
Unboxing the Kubey Prism
As always, Kubey delivers a great unboxing experience. The Prism comes in their signature box, which includes everything you'd expect: a certificate of authenticity, a cleaning cloth, and a couple of Kubey stickers. It’s a nice touch that makes it feel like you're unwrapping something special, even before you get to the knife itself.
Once we take the knife out, we get our first look at the Kubey Prism in its full glory. Currently, there are three variants available, but for this review, we're focused on the silver titanium version. There's also a flamed titanium version if you prefer a more rugged aesthetic. Both variants are currently available on our website for $93.75, which is a pretty reasonable price for a knife of this quality.
Handle Design and Features
The handle of the Kubey Prism is made from silver-gray titanium, giving it a refined, premium look without being overly flashy. It's smooth to the touch and has a sleek, slim profile, making it comfortable to hold, even for extended periods. The tip-up reversible pocket clip is a nice feature, allowing you to carry the knife however you prefer, whether you’re left- or right-handed.
At the top of the handle, you'll notice the button lock—an excellent mechanism for a one-handed opening and closing experience. It’s easy to use and provides a secure, satisfying feel when you deploy or close the blade. (Be sure to check out the video demonstration for a closer look at the button lock in action.)
Blade Design and Performance
Moving onto the blade, Kubey chose to go with 14C28N steel for its durability, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. The tanto-style blade is sharp, precise, and made for cutting with intent, perfect for tactical tasks or daily carry. The blade has a beautiful satin finish, giving it a smooth, shiny appearance that enhances the blade's overall aesthetic. It’s also worth noting that the top portion of the blade is fully smooth with no jimping, which gives it a clean, minimalistic look.
The thumb disk at the base of the blade makes opening the knife easy, and it’s one of the most user-friendly methods for one-handed operation. The flat blade grind ensures the edge is nice and sharp for precision cuts, and the overall performance is impressive for everyday tasks.

Final Thoughts: Is the Kubey Prism Worth It?
